My Story

I have been a singer in my own home since I was a young girl, singing all of the time, and still do. I even have a memory of myself around the age of 5 starring at myself deep in the mirror, nose right up against the mirror, gazing deep into my eyes, singing a song I was making up on the spot with tears rolling down my cheeks. It very clear I've had an affinity and deep connection towards singing and healing through singing since the beginning. However, I began my sound healing expression with others 9 years ago while I was studying yoga. For a workshop project we were assigned, I decided to offer "story telling through sound". I had my hand drum that I had picked up in Peru (a sacred drum that really spoke to me), and I played it for the group and invited them to listen to the sounds of the drum and feel what it's telling them. As I was playing, I started connecting to the energy of the room and the group, and began feeling this energy force in my belly that wanted to pour out through my mouth and I started to feel so nervous. I heard "just do it. Sing!" An inner voice encouraging me to let go and express it through my voice. Having not prepared anything around singing, I took the leap and broke through my fear and just let the toning sounds move through me. After finishing and noticing tears in some of the women around me, I was in shock of my own ability to do that. I continued to push through my nerves and shared a few more drumming songs with the yoga group throughout the course. A little while later (8 years ago now), I offered my very first group sound healing, just my voice and my drum, at the local mystic shop. I believe three people came, and the feedback was so encouraging that it grew my confidence to build a relationship with the drum. I would drum in the forest, learn songs from ancient elders (in the Shamanic realms and physical indigenous medicine woman singing circles), and began working with the drum and my voice in sessions with clients. I am continuously surprised at what moves through me and can feel the stories that move through me to give life to them and help them move, or encourage a specific journey to heal, or to release unexpressed emotion.
I now work with the crystal singing bowls, gong, drum, rattle, and my voice, each with their unique role and medicine.

I absolutely love being a part of their team to offer you gentle yet very powerful healing and support.
